Global updates

New: Data tag for logo

You can now use the data tag [site_logo] to pull through the site's logo automatically in correspondence templates. This means you can easily ensure your templates are branded, without having to manually add the logo each time.

For multi-sites, it also means you can be confident that the correct logo will display in different circumstances. The tag will identify which site is relevant, whether it's an appointment reminder, a recall or a manual/non-automated communication, so the appropriate branding is shown.

New: Dentally Vision v175 is released

We've released Dentally Vision v175, which includes improved image comparison. Compare 2, 4 or 6 xโ€ray images in a single view, making it easier to review changes over time.

See the full release notes here.

Improved: Perio exams for dental assistants and nurses

Nurses and dental assistants can now create and edit Perio exams, even if they are not practitioners themselves. This will improve chair-side and hygiene workflows as they can support Perio charting without breaking clinical governance. Practitioner attribution will be maintained, and all actions are visible in the 'Audit' tab for compliance and review.

Improved: 'Image Conversion' report includes date of conversion

We have updated the 'Image Conversion' report dropdown to display the conversion date for each report. This makes it easier to identify the correct report when multiple conversions exist for the same imaging software at the same site.

UK/ROI updates

New: 'Unscheduled Care' filter in the 'NHS Claims' report for England

We've made it easy to find the new Unscheduled Care claims - use the 'Band' filter in the 'NHS Claims' report to select 'Unscheduled Care' and see all Unscheduled Care claims in one place, along with their statuses.

Improved: Band 2 combined filter in 'NHS Claims' report

In all regions, you can now select 'Band 2 (all sub-bands)' in the 'NHS Claims' report, to see all Band 2 a/b/c claims, without having to individually select each one.

Improved: 'Town' field compulsory for NHS Wales

The 'Town' field in the patient address is now mandatory in the 'Details' tab and when submitting claims, in accordance with new NHS guidance.

Improved: Stabilisation Care Package treatments for NHS Wales

In line with new guidance received from the NHS, the following treatments are now automatically included in Stabilisation Care Packages by default (where the Stabilisation Treatment is also charted):

  • Permanent Fillings (9306)

  • RCT Molar/Premolar (9370)

  • RCT Anterior (9371)

  • Non-Surgical Extractions (9373)

Bug fixes:

We completed a number of bug fixes in response to feedback and clarifications from the NHS, following significant regulation changes on April 1st in England and Wales.

  • NHS England:

    • Any old claims which were correctly submitted as Band 4/Urgent will display this now when you look back at historic data, rather than showing as 'Unscheduled Care', which should only apply to claims after April 1st 2026.

  • NHS Wales:

    • Items that are sent as part of NHS claims but don't create a Care Package now show as 'Other CDS Codes', with no charges, to make clear that they will be sent as part of the claim but shouldn't generate a Care Package.

    • You will now not be able to submit a claim unless it has at least one Care Package in it.

    • Treatments with the NHS Note Only category will no longer cause the Exam Only exemption to be removed.

    • If charting a High Fluoride Toothpaste Prescription alongside only a New Patient Exam, a Miscellaneous Care Package will no longer be generated.

    • If there are two ACORN codes present, we will only send the code in the data once to the NHS.

    • If the Treatment Plan is marked as an Urgent Referral, the referral source will always be set correctly to match on the claim form.

    • 'Assessment and Advice' has been moved back to being an 'Other' treatment, so it can be used as part of an urgent appointment. Charting 'Assessment and Advice' and marking the plan as an Urgent Referral will create an Urgent Care Package. If charting as part of a regular appointment (not marked as urgent), a Miscellaneous Care Package will be created, which should not be claimed for.

APAC updates

Improved: Prescription locking

Australian prescriptions now lock as soon as you print them (if you never print, they'll lock after 24h as normal). This keeps your records aligned with clinical and regulatory expectations in Australia, and stops postโ€‘printing edits or deletions, so whatโ€™s issued matches whatโ€™s on file.

CA updates

Improved: Print tertiary claim forms

You can now print tertiary claim forms directly from the patient's 'Claims' tab. This saves you from manually rearranging patient policies, and is available for all new claims where the patient has three policies at the time the claim is created.
