Dentally Vision Changelog - Version 117 - AA Update Required

Release Date - Coming Soon TBC

Version 117 Full Technical PDF is available for download here.

For release 117 your acquisition agent MUST be updated as soon as possible to benefit from the updates marked with โ€˜AA Update Requiredโ€™. Keep in mind that your acquisition agent is still backwards compatible and you will still benefit from all other updates below.

๐Ÿ†• Monitoring Tool for Acquisition Agent
AA Update Required

RCI have introduced a helpful monitoring tool, called the "Watchdog" to ensure the Dentally Vision Acquisition Agent runs smoothly. Hereโ€™s what it does:

  • Keeps the Agent Running: The Watchdog regularly checks if the Acquisition Agent is running. If it stops, the Watchdog will automatically try to restart it for you.

  • Incident Logging: If the Agent canโ€™t restart, the Watchdog creates a detailed log to help identify and resolve any issues.

  • Automatic Cleanup: Logs generated by the Watchdog are automatically cleared after 180 days to keep things tidy.

  • Easy to Configure: The tool offers settings to customise how often it checks the Agent, how long it waits before starting, and how many restart attempts it makes. Default values are already set for you.
    โ€‹

  • Simple Controls: Use the Watchdogโ€™s system tray icon to quickly enable or disable monitoring, or manually restart the Agent if needed. The icon changes colour to show the Agent's status: green (running), yellow (paused), and red (error).
    โ€‹

  • Seamless Integration: The Watchdog is installed along with the Acquisition Agent and includes a shortcut to start the Agent manually if required. The uninstallation process also ensures everything shuts down cleanly.

This tool is designed to make sure your Acquisition Agent stays up and running with minimal effort on your part.

๐Ÿ› Multiple bug fixes

๐Ÿ†• SuperFMX/ Modality View

The SuperFMX/Modality view brings enhanced flexibility and efficiency to imaging workflows. It offers a choice between the traditional exam-centric workflow (Exam view) and an innovative modality or anatomy-focused approach (Modality/SuperFMX view).

This feature is designed to cater to various operational styles and clinical requirements, enabling you to select the workflow that aligns most effectively with your diagnostic practices.

๐ŸŒŸ DEXIS Software Bridge - 3D Volume Acquisition - Optimise Folder Search - AA Update Required โฌ†๏ธ

Improved the efficiency of 3D volume acquisition by prioritising searches within the patientโ€™s folder. This enhancement significantly reduces processing time while maintaining a full directory scan as a fallback option.

๐ŸŒŸ Second Opinion AI - AI Findings Menu Enhancements

The AI findings menu has been upgraded for better navigation and usability. Findings are now organized by AI tool tabs, with Pathology and Non-Pathology findings clearly divided by a grey line. Additionally, the 'Tooth Parts' and 'Measurements' toggles have been renamed and visually separated for improved clarity.

๐ŸŒŸ macOS - Update PSPIX and SOPIX Helper Apps
AA Update Required โฌ†๏ธ

Updated the helper apps for PSPIX and SOPIX devices on macOS to enhance compatibility and performance across various macOS versions. Updated versions:

  • SOPIX helper app: v1.32

  • PSPIX helper app: v1.0.31

๐ŸŒŸ Auto-Select New GxPicture Option for Existing Users
AA Update Required โฌ†๏ธ

๐ŸŒŸ Vatech EzDenti SW Bridge - Check DCM Files for Full 2D Image
AA Update Required โฌ†๏ธ

Improved handling of images acquired via the Vatech EzDenti SW Bridge. If the saved file is a DCM file, the system now checks if it contains a 2D image and ensures the full image is pulled into the imaging software. Previously, only a thumbnail image was displayed.

๐Ÿ› Carestream Software Bridge Fix
AA Update Required โฌ†๏ธ

2D image links now correctly transfer to the patient's exam list.

๐Ÿ› DEXIS Image Rotation Fix

๐ŸŒŸ Additional 'Levels' adjustment tool

The 'Levels' adjustment tool has been implemented for 2D grayscale X-ray images, allowing users to manually adjust the black and white pixel levels.

This tool enhances image clarity and contrast by giving users more precise control over image exposure. It has been added to the existing Brightness/Contrast popup window, introducing two new slidersโ€”one for adjusting the maximum black pixel value and another for the minimum white pixel value.

Key Features:

  • Black Level Slider: Adjusts the threshold below which all pixel values are set to black (0).

  • White Level Slider: Adjusts the threshold above which all pixel values are set to white (255).

๐ŸŒŸ Vision AI now supports panoramic images

Users can now submit panoramic images to Second Opinion AI and view analysis results for these images.

๐ŸŒŸ Resubmit images for AI review

If a patients image does not submit for AI analysis automatically because of network issues during acquisition, you can now submit AI candidate images that have not been submitted and are less than 48 hours old directly from the Dentally Vision panel using the 'Submit for analysis' button. Which only appears if the image failed to send automatically.

๐ŸŒŸ Show/Hide AI Findings Button Persistence

The show/hide AI Findings button state defaults to 'on' but will now retain its state (on/off) when you switch between images in the same exam and will only reset when a new exam is loaded.

๐ŸŒŸ Various device updates

  • iRay Pluto integration

  • Added support for PSP intraoral acquisition modes using the GxPicture interface.

  • Hamamatsu updates to improve image capture

  • Sirona / Schick updates to version IOSS 3.2

  • DEXIS - now supports 3D

  • Extend Romexis timeout to 1 minute

Download the full product update PDF for full details.

๐Ÿ› Various AI usage updates and bug fixes

  • Image Navigator and Exam View will now properly update when images are rotated or flipped.

  • The buttons on the footer of the exam view will now remain accessible when zooming in on an image.

  • The AI menu will now open in the correct location when a result is clicked.

  • Resuming an exam will now select the same device that was used initially for the exam.

๐ŸŒŸ Updated AI side panel

The Dentally Vision AI side panel has been updated with enhanced features to improve your user experience. These updates include;

  • The addition of dropdown menus for Pathology and Non-Pathology sections.

  • Tooth Parts and Measurements options.

  • Updating colour indications, and ensuring proper display of findings.

  • AI Analysis Messaging for complete analysis results and error reporting.

  • Accordion menus for easier navigation

  • Synchronised pop-up menus to ensure a consistent user experience across Dentally Vision AI.

๐ŸŒŸImporting from rotated files

The auto-rotation feature for images imported via the 'Import from File' option has been disabled, as it was causing images that were already correctly oriented to be improperly rotated. This improvement ensures that images retain their original orientation when imported, reducing the need for manual corrections.

๐ŸŒŸ Dentally Vision Button Interactions

The interaction between the AI Findings, Tooth Parts, and Annotations/Measurements buttons has been refined to ensure they function independently and as expected.

Key changes include:

  • Separating the toggling actions of each button.

  • Adding Tooth Parts to the show/hide objects dialog.

  • Updating tooltips for better clarity.

  • Show All Findings/Hide All Findings in AI menu has been changed to a checkbox that mirrors the AI Findings button.

  • AI Findings/Tooth parts buttons will only be visible when the image has those discovered.

These improvements provide users with more precise control over the display of AI findings and related elements.

๐Ÿ› Various bug fixes

  • Users can now change teeth numbers during image comparison without triggering errors within Dentally Vision.

  • Users can now highlight and interact with caries results even after adding annotations.

  • Tooth parts results will now remain visible even when using the measurements tool.

  • The undo button now functions correctly in all scenarios.
