Global updates
New: Dentally Vision v182 release
Dentally Vision v182 is now live in all regions, with cleaner orthodontic reports, More control over Magnify tooling, and a range of reliability improvements across Dentally Vision as a whole.

Bug fixes
Extracted retained roots no longer remain visible on the chart.
Deciduous retained roots now show correctly when condensed charting is enabled, even if the permanent tooth is present.
Long clinical note audit histories are scrollable again, including treatment plan item notes.
Deleted note templates no longer reappear after you remove them.
Long personal template titles no longer squash the template panel.
Task lists no longer keep overdue sign & review tasks for notes that are already signed and locked.
Hover labels on clinical note sidebar icons are fully visible again.
Starting a recording no longer creates multiple identical audit entries in the sidebar.
Applying a clinical note template now keeps the template formatting in the appointment note (notes created from templates before this fix are unchanged).
Inline price and duration changes are now preserved when a treatment plan is copied.
Estimates now show the correct tooth surfaces selected on the treatment plan, without adding extras.
The lab work column is now included when exporting the appointments report, showing blank when no lab work was involved.
Automations can now be saved when an appointment reason name contains brackets.
CA updates
New: Mouth area charting for Canadian claims
You can now assign a mouth area (e.g. quadrant, arch, sextant) when charting region-based treatments, with the correct code carried through automatically to claims and pre-determinations.
This removes a common source of claim errors and rework by capturing the required data at charting, rather than adding it manually later. This is now fully rolled out to all Canadian practices.
New: Custom permission for creating prescriptions
Practices can now give Level 2+ users a custom permission to create prescriptions on behalf of a dentist, for the dentist to review, sign and send.
New: Dentally Vision AI (DVAI) now available in Canada
Dentally Vision AI, our AI-powered detection feature built with Pearl, is now ready for Canadian practices. AI detections appear directly in the image viewer to help flag potential areas of concern on new x-rays and images as they're taken.
New: Tooth and surface information on the Day List
Print, tooth and surface information is now also shown on the Day List alongside each appointment's treatment items for Canadian practices, giving clinical teams a quicker way to see planned treatment without opening the patient record.
Improved: Inactive treatments skipped when applying templates
Applying a treatment plan template no longer charts items linked to inactive treatments only active treatments from the template are added to the patient's plan.
Bug fixes
Creating a new patient from the Calendar in a CA practice now correctly uses Canadian postal code validation when no country (or Canada) is set, instead of incorrectly falling back to US ZIP code validation.
UK/ROI updates
Improved: GP17 forms (Scotland)
We've delivered a series of improvements to GP17, the NHS form Scottish practices complete digitally via Dentally Portal:
GP17 Part 2 now generates correctly when a patient returns for treatment on a different day
GP17 forms now correctly populate fields and signatures
NHS actions now clear correctly once GP17 Part 1 is completed
The NHS tab status now updates to complete once GP17 Parts 1 and 2 are completed
New: Wales NHS Care Package codes now available on the API
Groups and partners integrating with Dentally via the API can now see which Wales NHS Care Package codes were claimed against a given NHS claim, with the Care Package name and codes included in the NHS claim object for Welsh claims.
Coming soon (beta)
Document scanning: email scanned documents
Scanning directly into Dentally is now live for beta practices. And will be rolling out across all sites over the coming weeks. Read more on scanning into Dentally here.
Supernumerary charting & billing
Supernumerary charting is coming toDentally, closing a long-standing clinical workflow gap for practices and laying the groundwork for supernumerary teeth to be handled correctly in insurance claims across Australia and Canada.
Currently, in beta but if you are interested in getting access to this early ahead of it rolling out over the coming weeks you can register your interest over on community.

Actionable Recall Report
Action recall patients directly from the Recall Report, without navigating elsewhere in Dentally. Saving an estimated 10 clicks per patient! Currently in beta but rolling out soon, read more here.
Improved: Clinical note review and amendment flow
Clinicians can now complete a note when they're ready, then amend it inline if a later correction is needed:
‘Lock' language is now 'Complete' throughout the note flow and related tasks
Amendments happen inline in the main editor, so you can make changes in the context of the note
Post review changes appear as amendments in the audit panel, keeping the clinical record traceable
Treatment History rows now link directly to the clinical note and amendment audit, where available
