Coming soon

These updates affect features that are currently in beta testing or early rollout. They’re not yet available to all practices, but here’s what to expect from us over the coming months as these features roll out across our users.

Beta Improved: Estimate preview

See a live preview of an estimate as you create or edit it, so you can check layout and wording before printing, emailing or sharing with a patient.

In Canada, a ‘Hide insurance details’ toggle will keep the insurance breakdown off the patient-facing document.

In Australia, health fund estimates will only preview once the patient’s health fund card is swiped.

Beta Improved: Edit estimated insurance amounts on the chart

Canadian practices can override primary and secondary estimated insurance amounts directly from the chart.

Beta Improved: Patient phone number formatting

Patient phone numbers are automatically formatted to industry-standard rules for each country.

Beta Improved: Treatment planning redesign with inline editing and reordering

A redesigned treatment plan with reordering and inline editing for payment plans and practitioner.

Beta Improved: Improved clinical note review and amendment flow

Complete a note when ready, then amend it inline if a correction is needed, with amendments tracked in the audit panel. More on this can be found here.

Beta New: Prescriptions

A new way to create, track and manage prescriptions is coming with full support for Australian workflows.

No current plans to tackle the NHS handwritten prescriptions, but creating a digital record will become easier than ever before!

Beta Improved: Recall with payments

Patients can pay deposits for recall appointments online via Stripe in the new Portal v2 experience.

As always, reach out to our support team via chat in Dentally with any questions.
