Ready to explore treatment planning!

Let's touch on some of the need to know topics when it comes to opening, managing and charting your treatments and plans.

Each topic below will link you out to a main help centre guide for further details and images on the 'how to' processes πŸŽ‰

🦷 Opening a new treatment plan

Opening a treatment plan may seem pretty basic but we want to make sure you are confident with every step your daily workflow with Dentally.

Make sure you are confident with this all important step with our help guide here.

🦷 Creating treatment plan templates

Once you have become familiar with creating and charting treatment plans, you may wish to delve into the treatment plan templates feature.

Using this feature you can save yourself time in surgery by creating a whole course of treatment which can be applied to a patient and customised with just one click πŸŽ‰

🦷 Creating an estimate/consent form

Both estimates and consent forms can be created straight from your 'Create an estimate' button at the bottom of your chart screen.

When generating the form for the patient, you will have the opportunity to choose the template you wish to use, so make sure you have created all your consent forms and estimates in your template settings!

🦷 Charging through your treatment

When you get to the point of completing an appointment, you may find yourself in need to charging through the treatment.

Its important to understand that there are differences between charging a treatment and completing a treatment.

Charging treatment should be done after each appointment and will allow you to raise an invoice on the patients account so they show as owing money, simply make sure your treatments are ticked on the chart screen and click the 'Charge' button at the bottom fo the chart.

🦷 Renaming/Cloning your treatment plan

Cloning and renaming your plans can come in handy when offering multiple treatment options to your patients, it can help you keep the various options organised whilst discussing options with your patient. Read more here.

🦷 Completing a treatment plan

Completing treatment plans is the all important final step of the treatment workflow. Completing treatments is not only just good housekeeping, but completing treatments ensures all your treatment reports will be up to date and accurate!

🦷 Editing charged treatment

You cannot edit a treatment whilst it is charged or complete. Instead you will need to unlock, resubmit, and untick your treatments so they can be edited or deleted as needed. This is a four step process:

  1. Remove the invoice from the accounts tab.

  2. Untick the treatment on the treatment plan.

  3. Make your changes as required.

  4. Tick as complete and charge back through.

🦷 Reopening a treatment plan

Should the occasion arise where the treatment completed was incorrect or where the invoices need adjusting, you may need to reopen the treatment plan to make changes, read all about reopening your plans here.
