πŸ’° Refunding a payment

There are several ways to process a refund in Dentally depending on the state of the patient's account, and the reason for the refund. Explore each scenario below:


πŸ’° Taking deposit payments

Deposits are a great way to ensure a patients return for ongoing treatment! Deposits can be recorded in Dentally using the 'Take Payment' button on the patient's 'Account' tab.

πŸ’° Explaining payments

By default, Dentally will automatically allocate payments to invoices. However, should you need to unexplain a payment and explain it against a different invoice, you will need to follow this help guide here.

Use our overview guide to understand payment allocations. Having accurate allocations is important for reporting on associate monthly earnings. You don't want to be paying dentists for work that hasn't yet been completed!
