What are payment allocations?
Payment allocations are a way of assigning a patient's payment to the practitioner who performed the work - as well as accounting for any sundries sold to the patient, or refunds/corrections made.
Allocation (also known as explaining a payment) is done automatically by default, but can also be done manually - click on each option to read more about it in our detailed guides.
It is important to ensure payment allocations are done correctly so that you can accurately monitor them.
How can I track my practice's payment allocations?
There are two payment allocation reports which give you an overview of your practice's allocations - to understand more about each report, follow the link to read a detailed guide:
You can also use payment allocations to pay your associates.
