πŸ’‘ Top tip: Here's a quick guide explaining why the 'Payment Allocation Totals' report is the best tool for paying associates.

How do I use the 'Payment Allocation Totals' report to pay associates?

  • In Dentally, go to the 'Reports' section using the left-hand toolbar.

  • In the 'Financial' section, open the 'Payment Allocation Totals' report.

  • Use the date filters to select your required timeframe. This will default to the preceding month.

  • You will be presented with all practitioners who are owed payment from that period. On the far right of the table, you can see the total they are owed.

  • You can click on each practitioner's name if needed - doing so will take you to the 'Payment Allocations' report, where you can see a breakdown of the practitioner's payments and invoices along with their patients' details.

πŸ“ Please note: If you're using this method to explain deposits, then please note that the deposit won't be allocated to an invoice and as a result won't be included when calculating the practitioner's pay. This could mean the practitioner will be paid less than they're owed.

For multi-sites only:

The 'Payment Allocation Totals' report differs slightly if you are a mult-site, including a second table view. Read about the differences for multi-sites here.

If a practitioner's name appears in both tables, they should be paid the sum of the two totals β€” the top table will show what they're owed from the money taken at the current site, and the bottom table will show the total of money taken at all other sites in the same practice.
