Ready to explore appointments!
Let's touch on some of the need to know topics when it comes to efficiently managing your appointments in your Dentally calendar.
Each topic below will link you out to a main help centre guide for further details and images on the 'how to' processes π
π Booking Hygienist and Dentist together
The ideal way to look for availability across providers is by using the 'hide & show calendars' feature on the appointment diary in Dentally. Read the full guide on how to do this here.
π Booking family appointments
We understand that when patients ask to book every member of their family at the same time, it can often mean a lot of clicking, typing and head-scratching.
Fortunately, if you have linked the family group together, you can easily cycle through the linked patients and find them all without having to search and remember all those names. Read the full guide on how to book a family appointment here.
π Linking appointments
There are multiple ways to link appointments within Dentally - so wherever you are working from, you can quickly and easily link appointments together. There are three ways you can do this:
Directly from the chart - ideal for dentists that need to link the current and/or past appointments.
Using the clipboard - great for reception users who are happy to jump back and forth between the patient and the calendar.
Using the book appt screen - the quickest way for receptionists to link appointments directly from the calendar screen when booking a new appt.
π Cancelling an appointment
The most efficient way to cancel a patient's appointment is through the appointments tab in their record.
You can do this by clicking the 'Edit' button next to the appointment you wish to cancel in the 'Appointments' tab and changing the status. Read our full guide on how to do this here.
π Moving an appointment
The calendar is interactive, meaning you can simply click and drag the appointment as a whole to move it to a new time, or click and drag the edge of an appointment to extend or shorten it. Read more about how to adjust your appointments here.
