Let's take a look at how to add multiple NHS pin & performer numbers to your practitioners in Dentally

For NHS NI sites you can add multiple pin and performer numbers to your providers in Dentally. You can add these from the practitioners settings menu.

  • Got to settings in the bottom left of Dentally

  • Click on users

  • Click on Practitioners

  • Edit the required dentist using the icon on the right-hand side

    • NHS Number, GDC Number and Prescriber Number are not required for the sending of NHS claims but can still be entered

  • Scroll down to see the Panel Numbers section

  • Simply click '+ Add panel number' in the bottom left

  • Enter a Label for the set of pin and performer numbers you are adding

    • For example, main, secondary, tertiary etc...

  • Enter the Performer Number and Performer Pin provided by the NHS

    • To edit or correct an existing entry simply click 'Edit pin' and type in the correct number.

  • You can then click '+Add panel number' again in the bottom left if you need to add more to the provider in question.

  • Use the Set as default option to choose your preferred set of pin and performer numbers to use

  • Remember to click Save once you are done


Submitting a claim for a practitioner with multiple pin/performer numbers?

When it comes to sending your claims for a provider with multiple pin and performer numbers, you will be able to choose which set to use on the NHS claim form after clicking submit claim.
