Which devices work with Dentally Portal?

Both Apple and Android devices are supported when using Concierge with Dentally Portal!

To ensure optimal performance of Dentally Portalโ€™s Concierge, itโ€™s essential to select devices and browsers that fully support its functionalities.

  • We recommend an Apple or Android device to run the app. Your chosen device must be updated to the latest Apple iOS or Android version - if you are on any version other than the most recent, we cannot guarantee that Dentally Portal features will work.

  • Use Google Chrome or Safari browsers to download the app. Your chosen browser must be updated to the latest version, otherwise we cannot guarantee it will work with Dentally Portal.

  • Dentally Portal is only supported by devices which can be updated to the latest version of Apple or Android respectively, and to the latest version of Chrome or Safari. If you are on an older device which doesn't support updates to the most recent version of device or browser, you may need to use a newer device. This ensures that relevant security updates can be maintained across our features.

  • Other browsers are not officially supported, and we would not recommend devices which do not allow Google Chrome or Safari, such as Amazon Fire tablets.

  • In order for Concierge to work, it is essential that your device is set to the correct time. The easiest way to ensure the time is always correct (and to account for any seasonal daylight savings) is to set your device time to automatic in your device's settings. If you need help with this, reach out to Support.

๐Ÿ’ก Top tip: If your plan is Advanced or Advanced+ (2024), Concierge will be included with your Portal package. If you are on any other plan, you can purchase Concierge as a standalone feature. If you already have the iPad app included in your package, you can upgrade to Concierge at no extra cost.

How do I check my device version?

๐Ÿ“ Please note: Only the latest versions of Google Chrome or Safari are supported for the best compatibility.

Concierge is optimised for and compatible with Android (Google Chrome) and Apple (Safari or Google Chrome) browsers. Other browsers may work but are not officially supported.

To check your device's version:

  • Android: Open your device's 'Settings' app. Click 'About phone' or 'About tablet' then select 'Android version'. Here you will see your 'Android version', 'Android security update' and 'Build number'.

  • Apple: Go to 'Settings' or 'System Settings', then click 'General' > 'About'. Here you will see your iOS version.

To check your browser's version:

  • Google Chrome: Open Chrome on your tablet, tap the three dots menu in the top right corner, then go to โ€˜Settingsโ€™ > โ€˜Google Chromeโ€™. The version number will be displayed here.

  • Safari: Go to โ€˜Settingsโ€™ on your iOS tablet device, tap โ€˜Generalโ€™, then โ€˜Aboutโ€™. The iOS version number (which reflects what Safari version you are using) will be listed here.
