What is the 'Devices' page in Portal?

Portal enables you to connect tablet devices to Dentally, allowing your patients to check in and complete forms when they arrive for their appointment using Concierge and Kiosk modes.

Enable Kiosk mode to allow patients to complete self check-in when they arrive, without needing to speak to the reception team. Enable Concierge mode to allow patients to check in and complete forms using a tablet, if they have not done so in advance of their appointment.

Managing devices is done on the 'Devices' page in the Portal admin dashboard.

  • In the Portal admin dashboard, click 'Devices' in the left-hand toolbar.

  • Under 'Pair', you will see the option to pair devices with your Portal. Once you have devices paired, they will appear here in a list.

  • The list includes when each device was linked and last used, as well as the option to 'Remove' it at any time.

This can also be navigated to from Dentally.

  • In Dentally, select the square Portal icon in the bottom left corner of the left-hand toolbar.

  • You will see the various sections available in Portal. Select 'Devices' and you will be taken through to the 'Devices' section in the Portal admin dashboard as detailed above.
