How do I set up the Medit scanner with Dentally Vision?
The Medit software bridge lets you connect your Medit Link software to Dentally Vision, so you can acquire CAD/CAM scans from a Medit intra-oral scanner directly within a patient's exam. Use this guide to pair your Medit Link account and get the bridge ready to use.
๐จ Important: This integration is currently only supported on Windows machines and is not supported on Macintosh devices.
Before you begin:
You'll need an active Medit Link account and your login credentials to hand before you begin.
Install the acquisition agent on every computer that will use the Medit software bridge do this before you install any imaging devices or set up the bridge.
Make sure all your acquisition devices are already working correctly in the Medit Link software on that computer.
Right-click the 'Acquisition Agent' icon in your system tray and select 'Preferences'.
On the 'General' tab, click 'Medit Settings'.
In the 'Medit Settings' dialog box, click 'Log In'.
Enter your Medit Link credentials in the 'Authorization' dialog box, then click 'Login'.
Click 'Done' to close the Medit Settings dialog box.
Click 'Done' to close the Preferences dialog box.
Once paired, the Medit software bridge is ready to use. You only need to complete this setup once per computer.
How do I acquire a scan using my Medit scanner in Dentally Vision?
Open the patient's exam in Dentally and select the 'CAD/CAM Scan' imaging procedure.
On the 'Available Devices' menu, select 'Medit Software'.
Click 'Start'.
Medit Link opens. If the patient doesn't already exist in the Medit database, it's added automatically. Select the patient from the list.
Click 'New Case', then click 'Register & Scan'.
Click 'Scan' to open the Medit Scan software.
Scan the segments you need, then save the scan in Medit Link.
Wait for the progress indicator to change from 'Process...' to 'Scan Completed', then return to Dentally Vision.
Once you return to Dentally Vision, the completed scan is available in the patient's exam.
