How to set up and use your iTero Scanner with Dentally Vision

๐Ÿšจ Important: This integration is currently only supported on Windows machines and is not supported on Macintosh devices.

You must be on Dentally Vision v180 to benefit from this update. Download the latest version here.

Use this guide to pair your iTero account and start capturing scans directly within Dentally Vision.

How do I set up the iTero scanner bridge?

  • Right-click the 'Acquisition Agent' icon in your system tray and select 'Preferences'

  • In the 'General' tab, click 'iTero Settings'

  • Click 'Log In'

  • Sign in to your iTero account to authorise access.

  • Once signed in, select an account from the dropdown and click 'Pair'.

Once paired, the iTero Scanner Bridge is ready to use. You only need to complete this setup once per installation.


How do I acquire images from iTero?

  • Open the patient's exam in Dentally and navigate to the 'CAD/CAM Scan' option in the Imaging Procedures List.

  • Select 'iTero Software' in the 'Device List'.

  • Click 'Start' to begin acquiring images from iTero.

  • Once the scan is complete in iTero, return to Dentally Vision and assign the scan files to their respective slots - 'Upper', 'Lower', or 'Bite'.

๐Ÿ“ Please note: Assigning scan files to their slots is required to complete the upload to the patient's exam. The scan will not be saved until this step is done.

Once assigned, the scan files are uploaded and saved to the patient's exam record.
