How do I flag a medical issue on a patient's record so my team are aware?
When a patient completes their medical history, a red heart will appear next to the entry in the 'Medical' tab of the patient record, if one of their answers indicates they have a medical issue.
You can also set a medical alert if you wish, to flag the medical issue at the top of the patient record.
How do I set up a medical alert for a patient?
In the patient record, go to the 'Medical' tab.
Clicking 'Toggle special needs icon' will add an amber dot ๐ at the top of the patient record, next to their name.
Clicking 'Toggle alert' will add a red heart โค๏ธ at the top of the patient record, next to their name, indicating that their medical history contains a medical issue to be aware of.
With 'Toggle alert' enabled, a dropdown arrow will then appear next to it, allowing you to create a manual alert, if you require more detail than just the red heart.
Click the down arrow, select 'Set alert text', and enter the wording you need. This will place a worded alert by the patientโs name in a red box.
