How to resume an in-progress transaction
If you initiate a transaction but close the browser or lose connection before completion, you can reconnect to the existing 'In Progress' transaction by following these steps:
Initiate an identical transaction, prompting the matching screen to appear.
Click the 'VIEW' button next to the 'In Progress' transaction.
Upon viewing the transaction, you will be provided with the option to 'Reconnect' to the transaction to complete the payment process or return to the matching screen using the 'Back' button.
Once you click 'Reconnect', you can carry on taking the payment as normal, prompting the patient to insert or tap their card.
How to reconcile a successful transaction
In cases where a transaction has been successfully processed but not reconciled back into Dentally, users can reconcile the result by following these steps:
Initiate an identical transaction for the same patient, triggering the appearance of the matching screen.
โClick the 'VIEW' button next to the successful transaction.
This action will lead you to the status page of the completed transaction, where you can choose to reconcile the result back into Dentally. Additionally, a back button is available for navigating back to the matching screen page.
Understanding the statuses
When presented with the matching screen to reconcile/resume your transaction, you will notice the payments will sit in one of the following statuses:
In Progress - Indicates a transaction that has not yet been completed and can be resumed from here - For example, one machine is not working, so you send to another to resume the transaction. Discover more
Successful - Denotes a transaction that has been successfully processed through your terminal, with the transaction result stored in the cloud but has not yet been pulled through to Dentally. Reconciling this payment will allow it to be reflected in Dentally on the patient's record. For example, the payment was processed on the terminal, but there was an issue connecting back to Dentally.
