Multi-merchant allows several health businesses and providers to share the same terminal with the relevant transactions settling separately to each business or providers bank account.
Dentally Australia currently supports multi-merchant for HICAPS and Tyro. The payment process is the same for both options; however, the setup is slightly different. Practices using HICAPS require no extra setup. Practices using Tyro will need to contact the Dentally Support team to complete the setup on their behalf.
Processing Electronic Multi-Merchant Payments
Electronic payments can be processed using Credit, Debit or Eftpos
If you have this feature turned on within your system there will be two options to process the applicable payment types (Credit, Debit, EFTPOS), as follows:
Process eftpos / credit card / debit card - Dentally will communicate with the terminal to send the payment information needed. If the terminal has multiple merchants, the user will be asked to select a merchant. Select the merchant for the transaction and SUBMIT.
The terminal will display a prompt for the user to insert / swipe / save their payment card and enter their PIN (if necessary). The result of the transaction will be recorded in Dentally. The Dentally user does not need to interact with the terminal.
