These are quick fixes for overall image adjustment.

๐Ÿ’ก Top tip: For a clearer image try changing the 'Enhance' setting from 'Entire Image' to 'Not Enhanced' to see if that improves the image quality.

Annotations

Use these when you want to draw attention or add notes.

  • Choose a drawing tool (line, circle, arrow, free-hand), select a colour and size.

  • Click and drag on the image to place the annotation.

  • Add text by selecting the 'text' tool, pick colour and size, then click where you want the label.

Draw attention to one area of the image while dimming or leaving the rest untouched.

  • Select the spotlight tool, choose your effect (for example brighten, highlight) and the size of the spotlight.

  • Click on the area of the image you wish to highlight.

  • If you want more than one spotlight on the image, use the 'Suspend' button to keep the spotlight tool active and add further spotlights.

Use case: presenting to a patient, emphasising a region in report, isolating a finding for clarity.

AI tools

Dentally Vision AI can automatically analyse your images upon acquisition to highlight potential findings.

  • Filter findings by confidence levels (Low, Med & High).

  • The colour-coded categories help you review areas the AI has identified, such as:

    • Calculus

    • Caries โ€“ Progressed

    • Caries โ€“ Incipient

    • Notable Margin

    • Periapical Radiolucency

  • Tick or untick each categories under Pathology or Non-pathology to to show or hide its overlays on the image.

Tip: treat your AI results as a visual guide, always confirm findings clinically before recording or discussing with the patient. AI is just a tool - you are still the professional!
