How do I view images acquired or imported with Dentally Vision?

When using Dentally Vision there are three ways to quickly review your patient's images directly from the Chart screen.

From each of these viewing areas, you can open the Dentally Vision imaging screen, where you can review, edit or recapture as needed.

Tooth peek

If the tooth number on your chart has a coloured circle around it, this means there is an image associated to this tooth. To view the image using tooth peek:

  • Click on the tooth number or the surrounding area.

  • This will open the socket menu.

  • Select 'Images' to preview the images associated with that tooth.

You can tell the age of that image, by the colour of the circle around that tooth number:

  • Black is 0 - 6 months,

  • Dark grey is 7 - 12 months

  • Light grey is 13 - 24 months

  • White - 25+ months (or no image)

If there is more than one image associated to the tooth you have selected, you can use the grey left and right arrows on the image pop up to scroll through the images.

You can also use the 'Edit' pencil icon to open up the Dentally Vision Imaging screen if editing is required.

๐Ÿ“ Please note: If you are using Dentally Vision AI, your AI findings will also be visible on the tooth peek pop up on the patientโ€™s chart.

Imaging icon on the treatment plan

If your imaging service has been charted and an image has been acquired against it, the imaging icon will appear on your treatment plan against that treatment item.

Clicking this icon will open up the Dentally Vision imaging screen where you can view and edit that specific image.

Cloud gallery

The 'Cloud Gallery' tab in the patient's chart allows you to see all the images taken or saved in Dentally Vision that are associated with that patient.

Clicking on an image in the cloud gallery will open up the Dentally Vision imaging screen, where you can edit the image if required.

In the top right corner you can adjust your view in several ways.

  • You can filter your Dentally Vision images in the cloud gallery by 'Image type', 'Practitioners' and 'Teeth'. Make sure to click 'Apply' after choosing your filters to update your search. These filters are the same if you view your images in your 'Clinical History' sidebar.

  • Clicking the arrow โ†—๏ธ button in the top right will open the cloud gallery in full screen in a new tab, giving you better visibility over your images in one tab, while still working in Dentally in another.

If you navigate away from that patient in Dentally, or close Dentally completely, the tab with the images will automatically close. This ensures that there is no risk of keeping the tab open after you've moved onto a new patient, and accidentally viewing images that do not relate to the correct patient.

  • You can use the S/M/L buttons to change the image size selection, which will update the size of the images within the cloud gallery itself.

๐Ÿ“ Please note: Image size selection persists across patientโ€™s but filter selection will reset to default when changing between patient record.
