Use 'Compare' in Dentally Vision to view up to 6 images side-by-side within an exam. This helps you:

  • Review changes over time

  • Compare the same tooth across visits

  • Analyse multiple images at once

Please note: If you use Vision AI, your AI detections will be available to display during comparison.

How to compare images in Dentally Vision

  1. Open an image from the 'Chart' or 'Cloud Gallery'

  2. Click 'Compare' (bottom left of the screen)

  3. Choose a layout (2, 4, or 6 images) from the bottom left

  4. Click images in the filmstrip to add them to the layout

  5. Use below instructions to adjust or enhance images during comparison

  6. Select 'Finish comparison' when done

How to adjust filters when comparing images

  1. Open the filters on the right hand side.

  2. Either pick and choose your selections or

  3. Use the shortcut 'Show everything' and 'Clear selection' buttons in the top right to see all your images.

How to add or remove images from your compare view

To remove an image:

  • Select the bin icon next to the image on the comparison layout

Removing an image from comparison view using the bin icon does not delete it.

To move an image:

  • Remove it and select it again to place it in a new slot

  • Each selected image is colour-coded to the slot it is currently in.

You cannot drag and drop your selected images around the layout.

How to apply enhancements during comparison

You can adjust brightness, contrast, and other settings of each image individually in the bottom right.

You can apply zoom settings to either an individual image or use the link button ๐Ÿ”— to apply the same zoom enhancements to all images at once.
