πŸ“ Please note: This article relates to editing a practitioner in the Australia. For editing a practitioner in UK/Canada, please read this article.

You need to set up a new user in Dentally and then add a new Practitioner if that is appropriate for them. It is a 2-stage process. If you need help with the first step which is adding a new user you can read out help centre article here πŸ‘‰ Adding a New User,

To add a new practitioner use the following steps:

  • Navigate to Settings

  • Select β€˜Users’

  • Select the Practitioners tab

  • Click β€˜Create New Practitioner’

  • Fill the required information into the pop-up box:

    • Select the user

    • The Colour they will use on the calendar

    • Performer number

    • Prescriber number

    • Calendar position

    • Active

  • When you're ready, click 'Save'. The practitioner will now be added.

  • You can edit any practitioner in that list in the 'Practitioners' tab by clicking the pen icon to the right of their name.

πŸ’‘ Top tip: If you set a user as a practitioner, when they access any patient's record it will open on the 'Chart' tab by default. If a user is not a practitioner, it will default to the 'Details' tab when you open a patient.
