In order for Dentally to communicate with your existing third-party imaging software, the Dentally imaging bridge program and Chrome extension are required.

🚨 Important: The current Dentally Bridge Install Wizard is not compatible with 32-bit Windows operating systems.

Please instead use our legacy installer, which will work with Windows 7, 32-bit and Windows 10, 32-bit operating systems and can be found here.

How do I install the imaging bridge on Windows?

Step 1: Install the Chrome extension

Step 2: Install the Dentally Software Bridge

  1. Once downloaded, open the zip file, double-click to install the file and follow the installation wizard.

πŸ“ Please note: You need to run the install file with administrative privileges; otherwise, the bridge will not work!

Please contact your IT if you are unsure of your machines admin credentials.

Step 3: Configuring the imaging bridge Chrome extension

  • After the file is installed, you will need to configure the Google Chrome Imaging bridge Extension.

  • Right-click on the 'Dentally Imaging Bridge' extension icon on Chrome.

  • Click on 'Options'.

  • Choose your desired third-party imaging software from the drop-down list.

  • Set your ID field, Software path and Storage location path as needed.

  • Click 'Save'.

🚨 Important: In the ID field, the Dentally ID is ONLY for the offices that are brand new - anyone that is converted to Dentally should use the Legacy ID.
