There are 2 ways you can change your password:

  • From the login page - useful if you have forgotten your password.

  • From โ€˜My accountโ€™ section within Dentally.

How do I change my password if I have forgotten it?

  • Go to the Dentally login page.

  • Beneath the login fields, click on the โ€˜Forgotten your password?โ€™ link.

  • Enter the email you used to register on Dentally and click โ€˜Reset passwordโ€™.

  • An email with instructions on how to change your password will be sent to your email address. Simply follow the instructions in that email.

  • Now you can log into Dentally with your new password.

What do I do if I did not receive a password reset email?

If you do not receive an your email, ask your practice administrator, or another level 4 user, to check your email address is correct under 'Settings' and 'Users' in Dentally.

If your email address is incorrect in Dentally, your admin user can change this for you in the User settings and then you can try the reset password process again โฌ†๏ธ

If you email address is correct in Dentally, and the issue is still persisting, please contact the Support Team.

๐Ÿ’ก Top tip: Make sure you have checked your Junk and Spam folders for a password reset email first.

How do I change my password from within my account settings?

  • Go to your name in the top right-hand corner of the Dentally screen.

  • In the dropdown, click โ€˜My accountโ€™, then go to the โ€˜Securityโ€™ tab.

  • In the โ€˜Update passwordโ€™ section, you will need to enter your current password, and then enter and confirm your new password. When you are ready, click โ€˜Updateโ€™ and your new password will be saved.

What are the requirements for a new password on Dentally?

When resetting your password please remember that your password must meet the following specifications or you will be presented with a warning on screen:

  • Must be at least 10 characters.

  • Must include at least 1x uppercase.

  • Must include at least 1x lowercase.

  • Must include at least 1x number.

  • Must include at least 1x special character (eg. !โ€œยฃ$%^&*).

What do I do if my account is locked?

If you have been locked out of your account, you should receive unlock instructions via email. If you havenโ€™t received them, go to the Dentally login screen and click 'Didn't receive unlock instructions?' under the login box.

You will then be able to resend the unlock instructions to your email account.
