What is the 'Audit' tab

The Audit tab allows Administrators (users with Level 4 Access in their 'Security' settings) to view all activity on a patientโ€™s account. This tab consists of two sections:

  • General Audit - Logs general account activities.

  • Dentally Vision Audit - Specifically tracks vision-related activities.

Reading the 'Audit' tab

Audit columns

The Audit tabs both display a list of all actions taken against either the patients record or the patients imaging activity. It is broken down into the following columns:

  • Audit ID: Unique identifier for each activity.

  • When: The date the action occurred.

  • Who: The user responsible for the action.

  • What: The object involved in the action. (General Only)

  • Action: Type of action performed (e.g., Created, Updated, Deleted).

  • Additional Info: Details of changes made.

Using 'Filters'

You can use 'Filters' on both tabs to help narrow down specific activities.

General tab filters:

  • By Trail - Select a specific user to see all actions performed by a specific individual.

  • By Action Type (e.g., deletions).

  • By Object (e.g., Appointments).

  • By Date Range (From and To).

Dentally Vision tab filters:

  • Date Range (From and To).

Combine filters for precise results. For example, filter to view all appointments deleted by a specific user.

Tips for using the 'Audit' trail

Color Codes:

  • Green (Created): New entries.

  • Blue (Updated): Modifications to data (e.g., appointment cancellations, note edits).

  • Red (Deleted): Full deletions.

Tracking Changes:

  • Note the Audit ID of an entry to track its history across the system.

  • For updates, the 'Before' and 'After' view can be seen by clicking the Audit entry to see a side by side view of the changes.
