What is the UDA Forecast Report?
The UDA Forecast Report is a powerful tool for NHS dental practices, helping practitioners track ongoing treatment plans and ensure claims are submitted within NHS BSA’s submission rules. Understanding and utilising this report can safeguard your practice from losing valuable UDAs due to late submissions.
Why use the UDA Forecast Report?
The NHS BSA requires that all claims are submitted within 2 months of the treatment completion date. Claims submitted beyond this window are classified as “Late Submitted Claims,” and any UDAs associated with them will not be awarded. The UDA Forecast Report highlights claims at risk, allowing you to take timely action and avoid financial penalties.
Key benefits:
Tracks ongoing NHS treatment plans.
Flags claims nearing or exceeding the submission deadline.
Helps ensure compliance with NHS BSA guidelines.
Encourages timely follow-up with patients to complete treatment plans.
Understanding the UDA Forecast Report claim statuses
Out of Time: Claims with a completion date older than 2 months. These claims will be rejected as late submissions.
Danger: Claims with a completion date within one week of becoming Out of Time. These require immediate action.
Unknown: Treatment plans containing NHS work but with no completed items. These often represent estimates that need to be reviewed.
OK: Claims within the 2-month submission window. These should be submitted promptly if treatment is complete.
