Global updates ๐ŸŒŽ

๐Ÿ†• New: AI notes is here!

You can now dictate or type your observations and instantly generate a clear, structured clinical note from within the chart. Simply open your clinical sidebar, select a template and start talking - then hit 'Summarise' and your note is ready! Saving up to five minutes per patient, youโ€™ll have more time for meaningful conversations, extra appointments and a better work-life balance. Itโ€™s now rolling out globally - if you don't have it yet, you will do soon!

๐Ÿ†• New: Easily identify which appointments are ready to book

We've introduced a number of enhancements which make it easier for receptionists to identify when appointments are clinically approved and ready to book.

๐Ÿ†• New: Search bar for doctors, specialists and acquisition sources

You can now search for doctors, specialists and acquisition sources in the 'Contacts' section of the settings - meaning you no longer need to scroll when looking for a particular entry. This is especially beneficial for large practices/groups.

๐ŸŒŸ Improved: Appointment name now displays on estimates

When you create an estimate from a service appointment, the appointment name will now automatically appear on the estimate, making it clear which appointment each estimate relates to. This highly requested feature will make it easier to keep track with minimal effort.

๐Ÿ› Bug fix:

We have released a number of bug fixes to ensure a smoother experience:

  • In the account screen, the 'Sent' icon that displays when you email an invoice now appears immediately, ensuring you can always see if the email successfully sent.

  • Clinical notes can now be exported every time, regardless of whether the 'Completed at' date is present or not. If it's missing, you'll still be able to export and you'll now see a message noting that the 'Last updated' date was used instead.

  • If you add a treatment after deleting an appointment without treatments, you'll no longer see an incorrect error message.

  • We've fixed a number of wording and display issues across reports, to ensure clarity and consistency. This includes:

  • The 'More' dropdown in the 'Patients' report now works consistently.

  • Columns which include currency in all reports are now right-aligned - this makes it easy to visually compare different amounts.

  • When you print the 'Takings' report, it will correctly display the payment plan name.

  • When changing the payment plan on a treatment plan item, it will now auto-save to ensure everything is recorded correctly.

๐Ÿ“ฒ Improved: Digital FP17 logic for NHS England/Wales ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ

For Dentally Portal users with online signing, we have made a number of enhancements to improve patients' experience with digital FP17 forms. Smarter logic reduces the number of patients seeing questions which aren't relevant to them - for example, only patients under the age of 18 will see options relating to under 18s.

This helps reduce the chance for human error which can lead to rejected claims, cutting down your admin burden.

๐Ÿ“ฒ Improved: NHS number capture

For NHS practices, if a patient's NHS number isnโ€™t recorded in Dentally, they can now add it when completing their FP17 via Dentally Portal. It saves automatically to their patient record, so they wonโ€™t need to be asked again! This ensures you can reduce the amount of missing NHS numbers in your database, and maintain accurate records, efficiently and effortlessly.

๐Ÿ’ก You donโ€™t need to do anything - the new field will appear in all digital FP17 forms from now on!

ROI updates ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

๐Ÿ› Bug fix: We resolved a bug affecting PRSI claims - now only practitioners that are located at the chosen site (and are active) will be available to select in the filter.
