๐ŸŒŸ Improved: Custom procedures filters

You can now filter your custom procedures using the 'Filter Procedure By' dropdown - choose from three different categories to make finding your desired procedure easier.

  • Organisation: Every custom procedure created by any user across all practices in a multisite.

  • Location: Every custom procedure created by any user in your site. This is the default selection.

  • User: Every custom procedure that you personally have created.

๐ŸŒŸ Improved: Imaging categories for custom procedures

Custom procedures now have imaging categories to improve treatment selection. Cloud imaging categories are currently only used during the creation of custom procedures.

When creating a custom procedure, the treatments available for charting will depend on the imaging category of the custom procedure. For example, if you are creating a photograph custom procedure, only photograph imaging treatments will be available for selection to be charted. This is to ensure that only valid treatments are selected for custom procedures.

๐ŸŒŸ Improved: Acquisition Agent download link accessibility

You can now easily find the Acquisition Agent download link from the guide in the Help Centre, making it quick and easy to access when you need to.

๐Ÿ› Bug fix: Images in the compare thumbnail viewer are now always sorted chronologically, where previously this was not always consistent.

๐Ÿ› Bug fix: A number of small issues with the user interface for the anatomical modality view have been resolved to improve image viewing experience.

Dentally Portal updates ๐Ÿ“ฒ

๐ŸŒŸ Improved: Clarity for held appointments

In the appointment notes for a reserved appointment slot (where a patient has begun to book it in via Dentally Portal and hasn't yet finished), you can now see what time the booking workflow started, and when the slot will be released if the patient doesn't complete the booking. Find out more about how appointment slots are held here.

๐ŸŒŸ Improved: Treatment estimate signing experience

We have made a number of improvements to treatment estimates in Dentally Portal - to provide an easier, smoother and more accurate experience for patients.

  • Individual appointments now have a separate price breakdown per appointment, for better clarity so patients can understand what they need to pay for each visit.

  • Lists are now clearly separated into different rows, making it easier to read and follow.

  • The estimateโ€™s number and date are now displayed prominently at the top to quickly identify which estimate you're looking at.

  • 'Terms' and 'Payment Terms' have been split into distinct separate sections so itโ€™s easier to distinguish between the two.

๐Ÿ› Bug fix: When patients enter โ€œ<โ€ or โ€œ>โ€ (or other special characters) in their online medical history form, they now appear exactly as typed.

Global updates ๐ŸŒŽ

๐Ÿ†• New: User/practitioner search in 'Settings'

You can now search for any user or practitioner in the respective tabs under 'Settings' > 'Users', using the search bar at the top. This will allow you to quickly find the right user or practitioner without having to scroll.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: Smoother right-click appointment menu in the calendar

When right-clicking an appointment in the calendar, the option menu now appears and disappears more smoothly. It will disappear consistently after 2 seconds of navigating away from it, for a better experience.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: 'Lapsed Patients' report filter clarity

We've improved the 'Lapsed Patients' report filter by adjusting the wording of the โ€˜Havenโ€™t visited sinceโ€™ filter โ€“ it is now labelled โ€˜Last appointment is beforeโ€™, for better precision and to ensure the purpose of the filter is clear.

๐ŸŒŸ Improved: โ€˜Reassign practitioner on completionโ€™ feature

You can now enable or disable the โ€˜Reassign practitioner on completionโ€™ feature โ€“ in your practice settings, so you can choose whether youโ€™d like this enabled for your practice. When enabled, this feature gives you more flexibility to choose who treatments should be assigned to.

๐ŸŒŸ Improved: Socket selection menu

We have made an improvement to the socket selection menu - where previously the menu would remain open when you were charting treatment, now it closes when you chart treatment.

๐ŸŒŸ Improved: View patient ID on 'Radiograph Audit' report

Until now, this report had only shown the image ID and the patient name. While there was a link to the patient, the ID is useful to the user as a unique reference - so we now display this to make identification easier. This came directly from user feedback!

๐ŸŒŸ Improved: Extended treatment plan start times for ortho plans

Treatment plan start times can now go beyond 3 years, up to 2014, allowing you to submit ortho claims more easily.

๐Ÿ› Bug fix: When updating the status of an appointment in the patient record, the wording which appeared if you hovered over a status did not always match. We have fixed this so the wording displayed will match what you're hovering over.

๐Ÿ› Bug fix: We repaired any treatments that may have been affected by inadvertently resetting the tooth when applied (even if for an invalid region). The reset tooth was removed for all non-tooth regions and can no longer be set on those regions.

๐Ÿ› Bug fix: An error was occurring when attempting to create a new template - this has now been resolved.

๐Ÿ› Bug fix: When searching for treatment using partial search terms, treatment items were not being displayed - eg. โ€œCom bonโ€œ should return โ€Composite bonding", but it was not doing so. This has now been fixed and items should be displayed as expected.

UK/ROI-specific updates ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

๐Ÿ†• New: VAT support added to Dentally

For practices who are required to charge VAT on sundries and cosmetic treatments, Dentally can now handle this for you. Simply enable it from the settings, set your VAT registration number against the site, and configure the treatments that are VAT eligible. From there, any time the treatment is charged, the amount of inclusive VAT will be shown on the invoice and available to view on the 'Invoices' report.

๐Ÿ†• New: Capped patient charge in Northern Ireland

The patient charge is now capped at 80% of the dentist fee for additions to dentures. When the dentist fee is capped by the provisos for additions to dentures, we make sure to also cap the patient charge too.

๐ŸŒŸ Improved: Welsh NHS digital form submission

When a patient submits the Welsh version of the NHS FP17 form via Dentally Portal, the form now stays in Welsh instead of reverting to English in the correspondence tab.

๐Ÿ› Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the NHS claim button was not enabled after treatment completion, until you refreshed the page.
