If you’ve accidentally saved an image to the wrong patient, you can easily move it to the correct patient using the 'Global Folder' function in EXAMINE Pro.
How to move an image TO the Global Folder
Open the incorrect patient’s chart in Dentally, where the image is currently saved and launch EXAMINE Pro from the Dentally bridge on your chart.
In the EXAMINE Pro Image Library, select the image you need to move.
Right-click the highlighted image and select the option ‘Move selected image(s) to the Global Folder’.
The image will now disappear from view — this means it has been successfully moved to EXpro's Global Folder.
💡 Top Tip - To move multiple images at once, hold the Ctrl key while selecting additional images before right-clicking to move them. (Only supported in EXpro version 8 and later.)
How to move an image FROM the global folder
Now, open the correct patient’s chart in Dentally and launch EXAMINE Pro from the Dentally bridge.
Click the Globe icon 🌍 just above the image library to access the Global Folder.
Locate the image(s) you previously moved (these are sorted by date — older images may appear further down).
Click once to highlight the desired image, then right-click and select ‘Move selected image(s) to the current Patient Folder’
The image will disappear again — this means it has now been assigned to the correct patient. To return to the patient’s Image Library, click the Paper icon 📑 next to the Globe.
The images will now appear under the correct patient record in Dentally.
