๐ Improved: Acquisition sources sorted alphabetically
When new patients are asked โHow did you hear about us?โ, the acquisition sources you have set up will now be shown in alphabetical order, making it easier to find what they need and providing a smoother sign-up process.
๐ Bug Fix: We identified and fixed an error where Concierge was getting stuck while loading and wouldnโt fully load the page.
๐ Bug Fix: A bug was fixed where deposits were calculating incorrectly in some instances when booking multiple appointments together.

๐ New: Age-based predictive dentition to ease mixed dentition charting
Predictive dentition automatically charts a new patientโs expected dental state based on their age. It predicts which teeth are likely present, missing or unerupted, providing you with a head start for diagnostic base charting and treatment planning. Find out more about this new feature and how it will save you time.
๐ New: Create new recall workflows more efficiently
When setting up a new recall workflow, you can now duplicate an existing workflow to save time having to build each workflow from scratch. You can now also select as many recall types, payment plans/fee schedules and practitioners as you need โ meaning you only need a single workflow for multiple different variations. These updates will significantly reduce the workflow required to run a successful recall strategy.
๐ New: Generate monthly statements in bulk
In the 'Patients' report, you can now download a single PDF containing every patient in your selection, with each patient's details on a separate page so you can print in bulk and mail them out individually. This shows the charges and payments for either the last full calendar month or the current month to date. This process works well with the new 'InDebt' patient segment.
๐ Improved: Totals for financial columns in the 'Patients' report
If your 'Patients' report view includes financial columns (such as 'Account balance', or the account debt columns), Dentally will automatically show a 'Totals' row at the bottom of the screen, helping you to understand the finances in context. The 'Totals' row includes all patients matching your filter criteria, even if they are not all on screen at the same time.
๐ Improved: Naming consistency in reports for multi-site practices
If your practice has multiple locations, the siteโs name is now consistent across all reports - all exports will consistently include the site's nickname, allowing you to make each site easily identifiable by its nickname so you can quickly see where the data is from, without having to read the full formal name of the dental practice.
๐ Improved: Lab work status in the daylist
If you update the lab status on an appointment, it will now show up when you print a daylist - enabling you to identify whether any lab work-related action is required, such as rescheduling the appointment, chasing the lab work or updating the appointment with the latest lab work status.
๐ Improved: Enhancements to socket selection
Socket selection can now be used on deciduous teeth to change the status and diagnosis of a tooth. We have also enhanced the socket selection to make it more visible and easier to use when roots are disabled. This feature is being rolled out over the course of this month โ so if you canโt see it yet, you will do soon!
๐ Improved: Tooth numbers on the odontogram
We have moved the tooth numbers to the outside of the odontogram to make it easier and more consistent, enhancing the socket selection.
๐ Improved: Price locking on treatments
We've made it possible for practice managers to lock the prices on treatments. This gives you control over treatments where their prices shouldnโt be changed, such as $0 treatment items like 'General notes'.
๐ Improved: New treatment report filters
We've made it easier to identify different types of unbooked appointment. We've improved the โAppointment statusโ filter in the โUnbooked treatmentโ report (and other treatment plan reports), to distinguish between TPs with any unbooked appointments ('Has unbooked appointments'), and TPs where the next appointment specifically is unbooked ('Next appointment needs booking').
๐ Improved: 'Practitioner' now available in โAuditโ report
You can now select 'Practitioner' for the โItem Typeโ filter in the โAuditโ report. Like all other item types, when this item type is selected, you can view created, updated and deleted events for practitioners, providing you with greater visibility.
๐ Bug Fix: We have fixed an issue that was preventing users from booking appointments in the diary when the calendar was set to 'Room' view.
๐ Bug Fix: When running the โAppointmentsโ report using the filter 'Without future appointments booked', some users were seeing an error. This has been fixed and the report runs as normal.
๐ Bug Fix: We have fixed a bug which was causing white spots to show instead of lab icons on appointments in the calendar. These are now showing the lab icons as intended.
๐ Bug Fix: We have addressed reports of slowness across Dentally, so that the app is more responsive now.

๐ Improved: Managing patient declarations in NHS Scotland
We have made improvements to the experience of managing patient declarations for NHS Scotland claims. Previously, it wasnโt easy to see whether a patient declaration already existed. Now this is indicated by โShow patient declarationโ or 'Create patient declaration'.
Additionally, when a new patient declaration is created, the acceptance date field will always be automatically populated and saved. You can update or remove the date if needed, but the date displayed when you click โSaveโ is what will be included when the claim is submitted. This resolves an issue where the date wasnโt stored in some cases.
๐ Bug Fix: We've fixed a bug which occurred when creating a new NHS patient exemption, forcing users to either change the 'Evidence seen' box to 'No' and then back to 'Yes', or to save twice, before it would correctly save. This has been resolved and will now save correctly.
๐ Bug Fix: The 'Regulation 11' field (relevant only to NHS England/Wales practices) was also displaying for Scottish practices in the treatment plan settings. This has now been removed as it's not applicable for NHS Scotland and caused confusion.

๐ Bug Fix: Following our recent update allowing you to apply a discount to invoices after a payment or claim had already been recorded, we have fixed an issue when applying a total discount post-claim. Previously this may have failed if an item received a greater discount than the remaining gap amount. Discounts will now be distributed based on the remaining balances.

๐ New: Easier insurance payment reconciliation
Weโve made it easier to record insurance payments โ with more flexibility, improved accuracy and a smoother experience!
More claim and invoice details during reconciliation โ You can now view all relevant information in a side panel instead of a modal, allowing you to stay within the workflow.
Reconciliation progress is now saved โ You can navigate between claim management and other areas of Dentally, add or remove claims, and resume without losing progress (as long as you remain within the same tab).
Itemised treatment breakdowns โ You can now reconcile payments at both the total claim level and the treatment level, eliminating manual calculations and improving accuracy. You can also hover over each treatment item for a full description.
๐ Bug Fix: Previously, if you explained a payment without selecting an invoice, the money would be removed from the patient and account balances. We've fixed this, so any money explained without selecting an invoice will remain in the patient and account balances, but will not be automatically explained against future invoices. This includes insurance overpayments.
๐ Bug Fix: Previously, if a primary and secondary insurance policy had the same start date, their order when you hovered over the insurance carrier badge was inconsistent with the policy view. This has now been corrected, and policies will show in the correct order.
