How do I access the 'Patients' report?

If you want to see a full list of all your patients, use the 'Patients' report.

Once you have navigated to the 'Reports' menu in Dentally, under the 'Patient' section open the 'Patients' report.

When you open the report, you will see a list of your whole patient database.

This report allows you to filter the data to break down your patient database into a selected list using the information you have recorded. That list or segment of patients can be used to identify patients or groups of patients that sit within a certain category, to gather useful information, and to send out bulk communications.

You can also choose which columns you want to see. These are different from filters (which change the data to only meet certain criteria) - columns simply change what data is visible on your screen when viewing the report.

How do filters work in the 'Patients' report?

You can make the report as broad or as detailed as you like using the filter menu on the left-hand side of the report screen, which will add or remove columns from the report.

To learn more about how filters work in the report, read our detailed guide here.

How do I access saved segments in the 'Patients' report?

If you have saved a segment (a version of the report with filters added, also known as a custom report) to use again in the future, you can access this using the dropdown menu under 'Custom Reports' in the top left corner of the report screen.

The number given under the report name will show the number of patients found the last time the report was run.

๐Ÿ’ก Top tip: Got a large number of saved segments? If you have more than 15, you can use the search function to type in the report's name (or part of the name), so you don't have to scroll. Simply click the dropdown and begin typing.

How do I use the 'Patients' report to contact patients?

If you wish to use a list you have created in the report to send a communication such as a manual recall or a reminder to a large number of patients, you can do this from within the report.
