How do I submit electronic attachments for pre-determinations and claims in Canada?
Attachments can be submitted electronically via CDAnet to provide supplementary materials for a claim or predetermination.
To add an attachment to a claim or predetermination:
Ensure the document you would like to attach has been added in the 'Correspondence' section of the patient record.
Go to the 'Claims' section in the patient record. Ensure you have already submitted a claim or predetermination before proceeding.
Find the claim or pre-determination you wish to add attachments to. Click 'Submit attachments' to the right-hand side.
A window will pop up, showing all the documents in the patient's 'Correspondence' tab. Select the item(s) you wish to attach, and click 'Submit Attachment'.
Electronic attachments are currently supported by the following carriers in Canada:
Alberta Blue Cross
Beneva/La Capitale
Canada Life
Desjardins Insurance
TELUS AdjudiCare
AGA Financial Group Inc. / Groupe Financier AGA Inc.
Quikcard
Sun Life Financial
For carriers not yet supporting electronic attachments, the traditional methods will still apply.
