How do I change the date and time display?

By default, Dentally will display times in 24h format (eg. 10:30 and 16:30), and dates will be shown in full (eg. Tue 30 August 2025).

You can customise these settings:

  • In the top right corner of Dentally, click the username and select 'My account' from the dropdown.

  • In the settings that open, click the 'Display Options' tab.

  • Here you can enable or disable:

    • 12-hour time format - Throughout Dentally, time displays would change from 24h format (the default) to 12h format. When applied, it will display in the calendar, the patient record, treatment plans, correspondences, reports schedules and templates. When disabled, these will be 24h instead.

    • 12h time picker - This applies the 12h format specifically to the appointment finder, so that the format for this feature can differ from the overall format if you wish.

    • Relative dates - When enabled, you would see 'Today', 'Yesterday' and 'Tomorrow' instead of their respective dates - in the calendar, the patient record, treatment plans, correspondences, reports schedules and templates. When disabled, these will be displayed as normal dates instead.
