How can I view the patients brought in by different acquisition sources?

You can use the 'Patients' report to analyse the effectiveness of different marketing and acquisition channels

๐Ÿ’ก Top tip: Before using the report, ensure you're gathering accurate data on your patients' acquisition sources, including how to create acquisition sources, and how to get this information via Dentally Portal.

  • In the 'Reports' menu, open the 'Patients' report.

  • Use the filters to adjust the section of patients you wish to view - for example if you want to only see patients who registered in the last month, set the 'Record created' filter to 'Less than 30 days ago' or to 'After X date'.

  • You may wish to save this segment so you can refer back to it regularly - it will update to reflect the timeframe every time you open it.

  • Then adjust the view to include the 'Acquisition source' column - click the 'Displayed patient attributes' dropdown in the top right and select 'Acquisition source' from the list. Then add or remove other columns as needed.

  • This will show you all patients within your chosen timeframe, and you can then see which acquisition sources led them to register.

  • Click 'More' > 'Export patients' to export this as a .csv file which you can then sort by acquisition source within a different application eg. Excel. You must have saved the segment to be able to export. This will help you to analyse the effectiveness of different sources and marketing channels.

  • Ensure your team are gathering acquisition data from all new patients in order to report accurately on this.
