How do I delete a treatment plan from the chart?

If you need to remove a treatment plan entirely, you can delete it, but only if none of the work on it is currently marked as complete.

You will not be able to delete a treatment plan if:

  • You do not have the correct permissions. You must have Permission Level 4 - (Administrator) access to delete a treatment plan, or if you have permissions to manage templates.

  • The treatment plan contains NHS work (UK only) and that work has been submitted as a claim.

  • There is any completed treatment.

If it is possible to delete the treatment plan, click the dropdown arrow next to the treatment plan name, and select 'Delete' from the list. If the option is not visible, you are not able to delete this treatment plan.

๐Ÿ’ก Top tip: If you delete a treatment plan, it cannot be reinstated to the patient's record. However, you can view the deleted plan in the patient's audit, and from there you could recreate it in their chart if you wish to.
