Can I skip a patient's recall?

You can skip a recall for a patient. This will:

  • Keep the recall marker in their patient record - the recall marker's status will change to 'Skipped'. This shows that a recall was generated, and is reflected in the patient's 'Recalls' and 'Audit' tabs.

  • Stop the patient from being shown in the current 'Recalls' report.

  • Stop the patient from being contacted in any upcoming recall workflows.

πŸ“ Please note: This is similar to deleting a recall in that both will result in the patient not being contacted - the difference is whether the recall marker stays.

If you skip, the recall marker will remain in their record and they won't be picked up again until their interval date arrives, whereas if you delete, they'll still show as due and will likely be picked up again the following week.

To skip a recall:

  • Go to the 'Recalls' report in Dentally.

  • Select the patient(s) you wish to skip by ticking the box to the left of their name.

  • Click 'More' in the top right corner.

  • Select 'Skip recalls'.
