Can I sort my calendar by room?
You can order your calendar based on either the room or the practitioner assigned to the appointment. Setting your calendar to room view might be useful if you want to view availability in a room shared by multiple practitioners.
To view your calendar by room:
Firstly you will need to ensure that you have created rooms for your practice, and that you are assigning a room when booking appointments.
In Dentally, navigate to your calendar.
In the toolbar along the top of the calendar, you will see a building ๐ข icon - this button allows you to view appointments by room.
Click the building ๐ข icon and your calendar will change to room view - updating to show all appointments as normal, but sorted by room instead of by practitioner.
You can easily switch your calendar back to practitioner view by clicking the head ๐ค icon to view appointments by practitioner.
๐ก Top tip: To view appointments by room, you need to ensure that you have created rooms, and that you are assigning a room when booking patient appointments. Use the 'Room' field in the appointment card to assign a room to the appointment.

Under the 'Rooms' tab, you will see a list of all the rooms set up for your practice. You can edit any existing room using the edit ๐ icon and the delete ๐๏ธ icon.
To create a new room, click the 'New Room' button in the top right corner.
In the window that opens:
Enter the name you wish the room to appear as in the calendar.
Select the room's position in the calendar (for example, you can use this to ensure your rooms appear in numerical order).
Choosing a colour will mean that all appointments assigned to this room will appear in that colour, when you are in room view.
If you are a multi-site practice, use the 'Location' field to select where the room is located.
