What is the 'Waiting Room'?
When a patient is marked as 'Arrived' by updating their appointment status, their name will appear in the virtual 'Waiting Room' in Dentally.
To view your practice's waiting room:
In Dentally, click the clock โฐ icon in the left-hand toolbar. If you are a practitioner, you will also see a red square on top of your clock โฐ waiting room icon in the left-hand toolbar, indicating the number of patients waiting for you specifically. If you are not a practitioner, you won't see a count here.
You will see the list of all patients due for an appointment, whose appointment status has been marked as 'Arrived'.
It will include:
The initials of the practitioner they are seeing.
The time of their appointment.
Their name, age and address.
The amount of time since they arrived (shown next to the hourglass โ๏ธ icon).
The type of appointment.
Each patient will appear in a particular colour, depending when they arrived:
Green - The patient arrived before their appointment start time.
Orange - The patient arrived less than 5 minutes after their appointment start time.
Red - The patient arrived more than 5 minutes after their appointment start time
You can click on any patient's name to be taken to their patient record.
In the 'Waiting Room', appointments are grouped, so if you are a practitioner, you will see a 'Waiting for You' section with your patients, followed by a 'Waiting for Others' section. If you are administrative staff, all patients will come under others.
