How do I display patient information on individual images in EXAMINE Pro?

To add patient info to a specific image:

  • In EXAMINE Pro, double click the image you want to add information to - it will open in a viewport.

  • Right-click on the tick button.

  • Select โ€˜Patient infoโ€™ from the dropdown list. This will apply to the image currently in the viewport.

  • Click the save ๐Ÿ’พ button. The patient number, name and date of birth will now be displayed on the image.

To display patient info on every image from today onwards:

  • Go to 'Options' and click โ€˜Setupโ€™.

  • Select the 'Appearance' tab.

  • Select the device you are using from the list.

    • Vistascan may display as ScanX.

    • Carestream may display as Kodak/Trophy RVG.

    • PSPIX may display as Acteon/Sopro.

  • Next to each option in the 'Device' window, select 'Patient info' in the dropdown.

  • Click 'Save changes' and then 'OK' when prompted.

  • This will ensure that patient info will display automatically on all images acquired from the workstation where this is set up.

๐Ÿ“ Please note: Patient info will not be automatically be displayed for any images from before you set this up - this will only apply to all images going forward from the time of setup.

How do I edit which patient info is displayed on an image in EXAMINE Pro?

The default info displayed on a patient's image is patient number, name and date of birth. You may wish to change this patient name, date of birth and image date.

  • Go to 'Options' and select โ€˜Setupโ€™.

  • Scroll to the bottom and select 'Optimize'.

  • Use the arrow buttons to navigate through to 'Patient info'.

  • Double click the text and then click 'Delete.

  • Copy and paste the below text into the box.

  • Right click on 'Actions to perform' to the right of the 'Optimize' module, and select 'Paste filter lines from the clipboard' from the dropdown.
