Reserving the scanner

To ensure radiographs are sent to the correct computer click the padlock icon πŸ”’ to reserve the scanner.

This tells the PSPIX2 to send scanned images to your computer. You must reserve the scanner each time before scanning a plate.

If the scanner is set up in single-user mode, the padlock icon will not appear. In this case, the scanner will always send images to the connected PC without needing to be reserved.

Understanding scanner status icons

  • Yellow Plate Icon – Scanner is reserved and ready.

  • Purple Plate Icon with Arrow – Image is actively being scanned.

  • Blue Plate Icon – Reservation has expired. Re-click the padlock to reserve again.

  • Orange Plate Icon with Cross – The scanner is not connected.

    • Check power, cables, and USB connection.

    • If the issue persists, contact Dentally Support.
