If an image doesn’t appear in Dentally Vision after scanning with your Duerr VistaScan, it may still be recoverable using the steps below.

Step 1 – Start a new acquisition in Dentally Vision

  • In Dentally, select the patient and start a new image acquisition using the normal process.

  • Choose the appropriate image type (e.g., 2BW, PA, OPG).

📝 Please Note - This step is important! Make sure you've selected the correct procedure in Dentally Vision. For example, if you're recovering two bitewings, select the 2BW option before proceeding.

  • Proceed through the workflow until the Dentally Vision image acquisition screen is ready to acquire an image.

Step 2 – Recover images

  • Click on the Trouble-shooting cog ⚙️ once the VistaEasy pop-up states ‘Device ready’.

  • Then click on the 'Image Recovery' folder icon under 'Trouble-shooting'.

  • Select the images which require recovering in the image recovery pop up window, and select 'Transfer Images'.

  • The images will then populate in a new pop-up, where you need to press the 'Image transfer' button in the top left corner of this window.

  • Click 'Close' on the original VistaEasy pop up.

  • The images will now pull into Dentally Vision and you can continue to save, edit and analyse your images as needed.

💡 Top Tip - If needed, advanced users can manually access the folder where Duerr VistaScan stores scanned images: C:\ProgramData\Duerr\images\

This can be helpful if VistaEasy isn’t launching or if the image isn’t immediately visible using the above process.
