Dentally Vision 🦷

πŸ†• New: Dentally Vision AI is now available in the UK! πŸŽ‰

Dentally Vision AI's advanced AI technology, powered by Pearl, is designed to work seamlessly alongside Dentally Vision - enhancing diagnostic accuracy, increasing patient trust, and improving overall efficiency in dental practices. This includes:

  • Enhanced diagnostic accuracy

  • Chairside visual aids for increased patient understanding and trust

  • Faster and more efficienct analysis, freeing up time to focus on patient care

  • Early disease detection for better long-term outcomes

🌟 Improved: Image orientation

The 'Import from file' auto-rotation now ensures that images retain their original orientation when imported, making for a smoother process for your team.

🌟 Improved: CS7600 improvements

This allows retries and better error messaging where the integration has failed, making it easier to identify the problem and resolve it.

πŸ› Bug Fix: We have fixed a bug where an error displayed while comparing images, when teeth numbers were changed.

πŸ› Bug Fix: We fixed a bug where an error displayed when adding measurements. Users can now add measurements without encountering errors.

πŸ› Bug Fix: A bug was identified where adding annotations to an image would inadvertently alter its brightness and contrast settings. This issue has been resolved.

πŸ› Bug Fix: There was an issue where, while recapturing an image, it would get stuck during the image upload process, preventing users from completing the recapture workflow. This bug has been fixed, and the recapture tool now successfully uploads images and proceeds to display the exam list as intended.

Dentally Portal πŸ“²

🌟 Improved: Performance of Concierge app

We have made improvements to Dentally Portal’s Concierge app, including faster loading times, which will enhance the patient experience when using the app.

🌟 Improved: Deposit explanation in online booking

We have added a note for patients who do not need to pay a deposit, explaining that it is not required for them. This will help to provide clarity around when a deposit wasn’t taken during online booking.

πŸ› Bug Fix: We found an issue stopping patients of new Dentally practices in England and Wales from signing the NHS FP17 PR form on Portal. This has been resolved.

🌟 Improved: Customisation for personal treatment plan templates

Treatment plan templates can be used to create plans more efficiently, and we recently introduced the ability to create templates that are personal to an individual user.

In order to reduce the amount of changes needed after a template has been applied to a plan, personal templates now include changes made to the treatments when creating the template, including any note templates applied as well as treatment pricing and duration. We also store any appointment booking notes and bookable status.

🌟 Improved: Available treatment icons

We've improved the icon shapes that are available when configuring treatments. Some icon shapes weren't available when applying a treatment to a whole tooth - we've changed this so a greater choice is available. We've also added a new shape called 'Small post'.

🌟 Improved: β€˜Cancelled’ appointment status

When updating an appointment status to 'Cancelled' from the patient's 'Appointments' tab, you can now change the cancellation reason to any of the cancellation reason types, giving you more flexibility to choose a reason best suited for the situation.

🌟 Improved: Tooth status selection menu in 'non-roots' view

We recently added the ability for practices with tooth status and root charting enabled to quickly update a tooth status by clicking the 'socket' area around the root. This ability has been extended to be available to all users even if they have 'Root View' toggled off in their chart preferences.

🌟 Improved: Payments on invoices and receipts

We've improved how payments are displayed on invoices. To make it easier to quickly see the value of payments applied to invoices, we've moved the amount to the right to align with the table above.

🌟 Improved: Payment plans in automation setup

We've improved the visibility of payment plans in communication automation rules. During automation rule set up, all payment plans can now be accessed regardless of the site you are in, simplifying and speeding up the experience.

πŸ› Bug Fix: We've fixed a bug where the text size on Ortho assessments was incorrect, causing the date to appear in a large font.

πŸ› Bug Fix: A bug has been fixed around plaque/bleeding percentage scores in Perio exams. In certain situations, these percentages were inaccurate.

πŸ› Bug Fix: We fixed a bug where a display error occurred when re-ordering the arch sequence in the Perio exam.

πŸ› Bug Fix: There was a bug where on some screens, newly charted treatments could obscure the upper teeth. This has now been resolved.

πŸ› Bug Fix: We fixed a bug where, if you charted a treatment on a tooth while no treatment plan was open, it would not create a new plan.

CA-specific πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

πŸ†• New: Invoices now show pending insurance payments

Any pending payments recorded, either automatically in response to a claim, or manually, will now show on an invoice/receipt to make it easy to communicate balances to patients.

🌟 Improved: Invoice status and remaining balance in claims management tool

When viewing claims in the claims management tool, you'll now see the overall status and remaining balance on the related invoice. This makes it much easier to understand whether you need to collect a remaining balance from the patient.

🌟 Improved: Insurance status/balance in patient record

The patient's insurance status and patient/insurance balances are now shown on every page of the patient's record. Wherever you are in the patient's record, you can now see, at a glance, their account balance (broken down into patient and insurance portions), and whether they have insurance.

🌟 Improved: Filtering in the patient account

Certain filters, when applied in the patient's β€˜Account’ tab, will now remain applied even if you navigate between tabs. Previously, all filters you selected would be unapplied as soon as you navigated to a different section (between invoices and payments). We've made an enhancement so they will be applied whenever you change sections, with no need to select them again.

🌟 Improved: Search by invoice number

You can now search by invoice number in the claims management tool. If you're looking for claims associated with a specific invoice, you're able to enter the invoice number in the search field to find it quickly.

🌟 Improved: BPE exams removed for Canada

BPE exams are not relevant to Canadian users, so we have removed the option to avoid confusion.

πŸ› Bug Fix: We've improved filtering on the claims management tool, to make it more responsive. Previously filters would take a little while to apply, but we've sped up the process to make it easier to find the claims you're looking for.
