What is socket selection?
Socket selection can be used by clicking on a tooth and selecting the correct tooth status from the drop down menu. Using this during the base charting process allows you to quickly update the status of a tooth.
How do I use socket selection?
Navigate to the desired patients chart.
Hover around a root or the grey line above or below a tooth if root view is disabled.
Click on this area and you will be presented with drop down list of available tooth statuses.
From here you can choose the required tooth status from the socket selection drop down list.
This dropdown will also show the current status of that permanent tooth, indicated by a tick against the status.
Once you select a new status the tooth icon on the graphical chart will change accordingly.
💡 Top Tip: Updating the status of teeth using this method can be carried out alongside the normal base charting or even while treatment planning!
