What are recall flags?

πŸ“ Please note: Recall flags are different from recall markers, which appear in a patient's record when they have been picked up for a recall.

When you have an automated recall workflow set up, a flag will appear to the far right of a patient's name in the 'Recalls' report.

The stages of a recall flag are:

  • Workflow icon - The recall has been added to a workflow. This will appear alongside any necessary flags.

  • Yellow flag - The recall workflow is set up, the recall hasn't yet processed or sent, but is in the process of doing so and active and waiting to begin sending automated recall correspondences.

  • Green flag - The workflow is active and currently running. It is going through the steps you have set up to contact a patient, and awaiting outcomes before moving onto the next stage. The flag will remain green while the workflow is in operation. This will appear next to specific communications which have been sent.

  • Chequered flag - The workflow is active and has completed all the steps that it can - an appointment has been booked and completed. It no longer needs to contact the patient.

  • Red flag - All workflow options have been exhausted. It has been through all the steps but no appointment has been booked.

The flag will also appear in the patient's record, under the 'Recalls' tab, in the 'Workflow' column.

πŸ’‘ Top tip: If you cannot see any recall flags in your 'Recalls' report, it means you do not currently have any automated workflows running.
