Can I prevent a patient from booking appointments?
It is possible to prevent a patient from booking appointments, while still keeping all the patient's details on file. An example of where this might be useful is if you have a patient with an extremely high failure-to-attend rate.
To restrict appointment booking for a patient:
In the patient's record, go to the 'Appointments' tab.
In the top right corner you will see the 'Prevent Appointment Booking' button.
If you click this button, the 'Create an Appointment' button will disappear, and an 'Enable Appointment Booking' button will be visible.
When appointment booking is prevented, you will also no longer be able to see the 'Add to clipboard' button to the right of any unbooked appointments.
