Reading the Dentally Chart (Odontrogram)

The odontogram view will only show the teeth where you would expect to see a tooth. This means the tooth icons for a missing teeth will no longer appear on both base and treatment planning lines on the chart screen.

Its important to note that whole tooth treatments can still be charted over the gap where no tooth is present. This applies to treatments such as, an Implant, bridge or denture.

Why do these teeth disappear?

Through feedback gathered from users, we came to understand that leaving all teeth visible, even missing ones could cause confusion for the user.

This could then lead to treatments being added to the wrong teeth on the odontogram where the tooth position was mis-counted by the user. By having the missing teeth disappear from view we are able to mitigate that risk and provide a smoother charting experience.

๐Ÿšจ Important: This feature is still in early adoption phase and will only be visible to sites using the Tooth Status backfill.
