How do I add a treatment code to a treatment plan?

Once you have created a treatment plan, you can add treatment items to it.

To add a treatment:

  • In the patient record, go to the 'Chart' tab.

  • Find the 'Treatment List' on the left-hand side of the screen.

  • Scroll until you find the one you need, or use the search function at the top of the list.

  • If it is a treatment which needs to be applied to a specific whole tooth (eg a crown), select the treatment and then select the tooth to chart it.

  • If it is a treatment which needs to be applied to a specific surface (eg a filling) or a specific site (eg a watch), select the treatment then select the specific area on the tooth to chart it.

  • If the treatment does not need to be applied to a tooth (such as an exam), just double click the treatment and it will be added to the treatment plan.

  • If you wish to apply the treatment to multiple teeth/surfaces, select the treatment then left click on one tooth/surface, and then right click on additional teeth/surfaces to apply it.
