How to set a treatment item to 'Fill Root'

If you want a treatment to show as a filled root on the patient graphical chart you need to follow these steps for each item:

  • Navigate to 'Settings' and 'Treatment & Plans'.

  • Make sure you are on the 'Treatments' tab.

  • Search for the code you wish to set as 'Fill Root'.

  • Navigate to the 'Icon' tab.

  • Set the 'Region' to 'Site on tooth' or any other tooth specific treatment region.

  • Set the 'Fill Root' drop-down to Yes.

  • You can also choose an 'Icon colour' that will show once the item has been completed.

How do I set a treatment item to be charted on a root?

For an item to be charted on a root as an Icon or Text, it must be set up with the 'Site on tooth' region in the treatment item settings. Here's how you can adjust a tooth's icon:

  • Head to 'Settings' and 'Treatment & Plans'.

  • Navigate to the 'Treatment' tab and search for the item you wish to edit.

  • Select the 'Icon' tab and choose the region 'Site on tooth'.

  • Set the Icon shape. If you want this to be text, set the icon to 'Text' and enter your desired letters (or emojis) into the 'Icon Text' field.

  • You can customise this further by changing the 'Icon colour' to change the colour of the team when it has been marked as completed.
