Where to find my charting preference settings?

  • Navigate to any patient's 'Chart' tab.

  • Click on the cog icon βš™οΈ

  • This will bring up your 'Charting preferences' screen.

πŸ“ Please note: These settings are configured per user, meaning they can be unique for every practitioner to meet your own needs!

What can I configure to help improve my charting experience?

Locked chart

Locking the graphical chart at the top of the screen allows you to continue to scroll through your treatment plans without losing sight of the chart.

Alternatively, unlocking the chart will allow you to scroll past the graphical chart for a more focused note-taking experience. Discover more about turning about the 'Locked Chart' and what this looks like here.

Combine base and treatment chart

Combining the graphical chart display from four rows (two base rows and two treatment planning rows) to just two combined rows that display base and planned treatment together offers a more condensed charting view.

This helps free up space for a larger treatment planning area, giving you more room for note-taking. Read more about switching this on and what this looks like here.

Hover chart

The hover chart allows you to access a set of frequently used or manually selected treatment items by simply hovering over the desired tooth on the graphics chart.

You can set this up to be 'Automated' where Dentally will automatically choose your most used items for the hover chart selection, or you can use the 'Manual override' to select the desired treatment items you want to appear instead.
