How do I edit an online appointment's pricing, duration and practitioner details?

Appointments can be found in 'Online Booking' > 'Appointments'.

💡 Top tip: If you are a multi-site practice, make sure you are viewing the admin dashboard for a specific location, rather than 'All Sites'.

Once you have found the appointment you want to edit, or created a new one, you can amend the duration, pricing, practitioners and calendar options.

The ‘Duration & Pricing’ section

Update to reflect the site’s requirements for that appointment type.

📝 Please note: You will need to link to your Stripe account in order to set a deposit amount. Deposits help to reduce late cancellations and failures to attend.

The ‘Practitioners’ section

Tick the practitioners who offer this appointment type.

In this section, you can also customise the appointment duration for each practitioner, if needed.

The ‘Diary Control’ section

Define where this appointment can be booked into your practitioner's diary. You can:

  • Set the appointment to book into any free space (if you want the appointment to always be available, keep this setting turned on).

  • Link it to specific zones (previously known as sessions), so patients can only book the appointment within set windows of time.

💡 Top tip: Zones allow practices to designate specific times for certain appointment types, and can be used with online booking. If you link to a zone when creating an online appointment, when a patient is then booking that appointment type they will only be able to select slots within certain zones and therefore certain times of day.

You can also select both whitespace and sessions.

Once you have completed all sections, click ‘Save'.

Your appointment will now be available, and you can toggle between ‘Online booking disabled’ and ‘Now bookable’.

💡 Top tip: If you are a multi-site practice, you will need to follow these steps for each individual site, as some details such as pricing may vary by location.
