How to restore my clinical notes?
If you navigate away from the Chart screen whilst you have unsaved notes, and you ignore the save and continue prompt, you notes will be saved locally on the machine you were writing them on. To recover these notes:
Navigate to the treatment items on the patient's treatment plan, and you will see the 'unsaved changes' message appear.
Open each treatment and you will see a warning message letting you know we have found another version of these notes.
You can expand open a preview of the notes we have saved to check these are the most up to date.
Once checked you can choose to either 'Restore these notes' or 'Discard these notes'.
If you discard them by mistake don't worry you can still get them back, just click 'Undo' on the orange prompt!
Why am I seeing an unsaved changes prompt?
You will see this prompt if you try to navigate away from the patients 'Chart' when unsaved clinical notes are present. Any treatments with unsaved notes will be displayed on the message as you can see below โฌ๏ธ
You can choose between either 'Back' or 'Save and Continue':
Choosing 'Back' will take you back to the treatment screen where unsaved notes can be individually saved or changes cancelled.
Choosing to 'Save and Continue' will save all changes to unsaved notes and allow you to continue to navigate away from the chart.
What happens if I ignore this prompt instead?
If you close or refresh the screen without choosing either option then any unsaved notes will be stored locally on the computer you are on, until you go back into the patients record to recover them. See instruction above on recovery.
Why can't I edit my clinical notes?
If a treatment item is locked, you will not be able to edit it - you will need to unlock the item in order to be able to click on the pencil icon. Learn more about locked clinical notes here.
